Projects and Programs

Successful projects and programs take time, talent, and tenacity.

Below are examples of documents created to develop, fund, and manage various programs and events.

Hosting a successful conference requires significant planning, connecting with partners, and grappling with logistics. This guide shows the process for a youth transition conference.

The best place to determine need is to listen to the people it is intended to help. The results of the reentry listening sessions provided the direction for the services developed and offered.

Sometimes the need is there but not met. During COVID and the growing Black Lives Matter movement, companies were bringing in diversity trainings but disability justice was overlooked. Seeing this gap, the idea was pitched, funding was obtained, and six workshops were developed. These were facilitated at organizations and conferences across Indiana.

Community is the core of success. The Neurodiverse Peer Support Group launched during COVID to give like individuals a place to share and learn. What started as an experiment, quickly turned into a consistent group of 50+ individuals from across the country.

Programs require funding. This is the grant proposal written for the Youth Transition Conference, which was funded at the requested amount of $35,000.
